Primary Science Fair
Ten primary schools in the Ogden Trust's Abingdon Primary Science Partnership are preparing to exhibit their projects in the ATOM Festival of Science and Technology's Primary Science Fair on Friday 16 March 2018. Six of the schools have already been briefed on the project theme 'Amazing Earth from Space', by Chris Duff of the National Space Academy and Satellite Applications Catapult at Harwell Campus. The remaining four schools will attend a similar briefing workshop at Abingdon School's Science Partnership Lab in January. The Fair will be held at the Amey Theatre, when other members of the schools' communities will be able to visit to view the projects. Prof. Chris Scott of Reading University will be visiting the Fair to view the projects and then to deliver an afternoon workshop on Space Weather for the pupils in the project teams. The projects will also be exhibited at the Family Science Fair in Abingdon School's Yang Science Centre on Sunday 18 March, giving the pupils a chance to show them off to as many friends and family as possible.
