The ATOM Family Film Screening: 2040

In partnership with the Abbey Cinema, this is a special screening of the acclaimed positive environmental documentary 2040.

With the world bickering about climate change and the rapidly deteriorating state of our planet, one Australian filmmaker chose to pursue an optimistic outlook on the future by targeting ways we can make positive changes for future generations.

Desperate for his four-year-old daughter to live in a thriving and healthy world, Damon Gameau’s latest documentary explores what the future could look like by 2040 if we all simply embraced modern, sustainable technologies and ideas.

With a mission to make a difference, Damon tackles the issue head-on and embarks on a journey in search of straightforward solutions. Discovering like-minded people across the world who share his passion, the environmentalist grows confident that his daughter will be part of a new chapter as we start to truly make a difference to our home.

Styled as a hopeful letter to his daughter, this inspiring documentary brought to us by Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film) combines interviews with dramatisation to offer a refreshing outlook on the climate change crisis.

This is an event running in partnership with the Abbey Cinema, Abingdon - tickets need to be purchased directly from the Abbey Cinema box office.

Thursday, March 19th @ 7pm at The Abbey Cinema, Abingdon
